A citizens' assembly is a democratic forum in which a group of citizens, usually randomly selected, gathers to discuss important public issues and recommend measures or solutions. Participants in a citizens' assembly receive professional information, examine the issue, consider different opinions, and are involved in the decision-making process. The goal is to ensure a diverse representation of voices from society and strengthen the legitimacy of the recommendations received. Citizens' assemblies serve as a way to deepen public involvement and make informed and balanced decisions.
