Leadership course and climate leaders
in the local authorities
Local authorities are on the front lines of addressing climate challenges, and are required to respond in times of emergency and mitigate the impacts of climate change on a daily basis. A climate-resilient authority combines principles for urban heat mitigation, natural solutions for runoff management, restoration of natural systems, and response to vulnerable populations. Such an authority is healthier, has a strong economy, and a high quality of life.
In order to assist local authorities in advancing the process and implementing climate change preparedness plans, Aklima, the 15th Forum, Tel Aviv University's Climate Initiative, and the Local Government Center are launching the Climate Leaders in Local Authorities course.
We invite you and yours:
– Gain an in-depth understanding of the effects of climate change on the local authority.
– Learn and experiment with applied tools.
– Get to know the frameworks and bodies that operate and support preparedness
